Fitlogic Completes Research Phase and Begins Technology Licensing with Park Avenue Apparel
Fitlogic, a patented universal fit system developed over a 15 year period and invented by Cricket Lee, is announcing a licensing deal with Park Avenue Apparel. Park Avenue Apparel will license the Little Black Pant brand and the Fitlogic technology to make ready-to-wear clothing for its in-house labels and for other retail brands.
Fitlogic is an inside brand and operating system that standardizes and regulates fit from one brand to another. It’s based on three scientifically identified torso configurations and four tops, combining in any configuration to allow brands to choose a body type and offer more refined merchandise to consumers that not only fits, but looks good on their shape. Fitlogic reports that is it proven to fit 95 percent of women and reduce returns by up to 75 percent. A woman’s fit is identified by answering simple questions online. Fitlogic has been tested in Nordstrom, Macy’s, on QVC and in designer boutiques.
The first major collaboration occurs with the licensing of Little Black Pant and will expand to include other categories and demographics including private label and consumer direct. Little Black Pant, previously a test concept for Fitlogic, has sold more than 125,000 pairs of pants and generated more than $10M since 2016. Park Avenue Apparel plans to expand the offering, expand the sizing and integrate new products using the Fitlogic technology.
